On Dummiefarline

For our Tuesday walk we parked near Loch Glow in Fife, and did a circuit of the loch and Cleish hills to the north. Dummiefarline (a great name) is a hill fort and I think this view is looking down what would have been the defended path to the top. The view is to Loch Leven and Bishop Hill on the far side.

It was the warmest day of the year so far for us; perhaps summer has got started at last. The highlight of the day was the sight of an osprey circling over a small loch (Lurg Loch). It dived twice and the first time we heard the splash, but didn't catch anything and eventually flew off.
