Green Dock Beetle

I didn't think I'd make it with a tiny Tuesday shot today as I was out with my dad and didn't feel I could keep disappearing to photograph bugs. I needn't have worried, dad's just as fascinated as I am about wildlife, so we were both hunting beetles and damselflies, etc....

We spotted these along the lakeside and realised what all the holes in the dock leaves were about!

I came home to a fine layer of dust all over the kitchen, but a great deal of progress in the garden. Lots of flags laid, and the builder said they should finish laying the patio by tomorrow. Then it's time to tackle the drive....
