Rapeseed
This is the view east from The Braidhills Edinburgh, looking towards North Berwick. This is my route to work, which I have taken fro the past 12 years.
I just wanted to comment on the field of Rapeseed, which has replaced what is normally a field of wheat. As a nursery teacher I have taken the children from my class to the wheatfield every August and harvested a small amount of wheat fron the verges of the field. I am sorry that this will not be possible this year.
Just out of interest I looked up about rapeseed as a crop and was disappointed to find that it is grown using a high level nitrogen containing fertiliser, the production of which produces a potent greenhouse gas.......Food for thought!
