Emergency Measures

Today I got up, went to work, worked, came home from work, got dinner and realised that I had absolutley no photo (let alone a photo of remote interest) to post. (More of a worry is that tomorrow is a repeat of today. No matter, tomorrow is another day). So, some months ago I bought this amaryllis bulb. I looked after it and it flowered. Then for ages it just sat there and looked boring. Then about 4 days ago I walked past and, bingo, a stalk with what was clearly a bud about to flower. And now it has. So this photo is of a 2nd flowering amaryllis (unheard of in my household).
