Two contrasting cottages

We are on our way up to Scotland. We are staying at a B and B and we spotted this pretty cottage on our way out for a meal. On the opposite side of the road, see extra photo, was an old cottage dated 1702 which was sold subject to contract but needed total renovation and looked creepy.
