Another Monday
Today was much like every Monday - back to work.
I liked this flower with the little bee just hovering under it.
When C dislocated his shoulder on holiday in March, he telephoned the insurers to let them know within a couple of hours. Since our return he has spoken to them several times and submitted his claim. About three weeks ago they called just to go through a couple of items, then the lady said it was all fine and he would receive the insurance payment the following week. An hour later they called to say "Sorry. We've just found out you weren't insured for winter sports." Now C is not one to lose his temper at all, so he politely told them that before our holiday, as he didn't want to plough through all the small print, that he had telephoned them to enquire if he was covered for winter sports. They had checked while he was on the phone, and replied that yes he was covered, but that I wasn't. He replied that that was ok as I was going on holiday but not doing winter sports. When they told him that he wasn't covered after all, he told the insurers of this phone call and they said that they would have to check the recording of the conversation. About 20 calls to them later they finally told him last Friday that all was well and that they would be paying him this week. He received the money today. He hasn't received an apology though!
What if it had been a REALLY bad accident with air ambulance, operations abroad, repatriation etc and they had refused to pay? The mind boggles.
