Best pals!
My ancient mobile phone's battery is very short-lived. It was a cheap nameless battery, so what did I expect? (Actually I did expect a half decent one). So I sent for a proper battery, but it refused to work, and I wanted to send it back.
The battery folk suggested that proof of posting was advisable. At the PO, while posting it and requesting proof of posting, they refused to send it. A battery is a 'dangerous item'. So how come they were able to send it to me? There was much to-ing and fro-ing of emails with the battery company explaining my problem.
Then it came to me the middle of the night! I could film my hand posting it into a post box! Surely that would be accepted as proof of posting in any court in the land? And so that's what we did this morning, with Archie in a starring role at the start.
I mowed the lawn and then we went to the Meadows. Emmi came to take Archie out this afternoon. He's very fond of her now, as can be seen in the photo. She's keen to have him overnight, so a jaunt to a luxury hotel is on the horizon for us.
I'm missing the tennis! It was a very good excuse to sit and do nothing all afternoon. Still, Wimbledon's on soon...
