#40Challenges on the Farm

Up at 5am for a run, porridge and then drove to Leicestershire. Arrived just after 7.30am to meet Nicki, Martin and their two year old daughter, Robyn, on their farm. They are friends of a colleague from work who had agreed to help me with my farmyard challenges on the forty list. We started helping the milk collection, then looked around the fields and brought three cows in. I had a chance to hand milk and machine milk them...lots of fun! Then I went in to make formula for the 48 calves and fed them all in large troughs, helping the new ones to learn to suck on the teets. This little one was very poorly so I used the comedy big bottle to feed him...he drank the etire bottle which is good news. Hope he pulls through.

After another coffee I left them and headed home, spending an hour in the garden mowing the lawns and then getting organized for the week. I walked the girls, made roast chicken for dinner and enjoyed a glass of wine. Now to bed...a perfect Sunday!!
