Back in the hills

Up Carrifran Valley, then up Firthope Rig - via a very steep heather covered pathless hillside (I was promised a path!!) - then up White Coomb and down  to the Tail Burn, which we had to cross (ended up wading it - too much water) and down to the Grey Mare's Tail car park. Phew! Only 5 hours but felt much longer - I had forgotten that walking with husband means trailing 20 to 30 metres behind - he doesn't seem to get the concept of "walking together"!! Still it's good to be back in the hills!
