A lovely brunch this morning with a couple of friends. It was refreshing to see them and to be in Edinburgh. This window of slides in the cafe seemed such a good idea to make use of old slides and to create an interesting exhibit. The slides showed different parts of Edinburgh over the years. After brunch I stopped at a little shop called Pinnies. It's a one woman enterprise selling freshly made shortbread. The biscuits come in many varieties - plain, pecan nut, cinnamon, and chocolate and almond being just a few of them! The smell of the baking biscuits was mouthwatering and I couldn't resist taking away a selection for sampling!
