WELCOME BACK
Welcome back the sun, the warmth, the honey bees. There have been so few insects in the garden recently because of the cold wet weather, so when I spotted this one gorging on the Persicaria bistorta I almost did a wee bee dance.
After we took the VIP home, the Prof took me out for coffee (and for toast and Nutella, as it turned out.) Then I repaid the debt by working like a slave in the garden for the rest of the day until son and heir arrived to bring us his weekly news and cheer. Only 8 pm and there are thousands of jobs left to do on a perfect June evening, but I am completely spent. However, I am free to look and enjoy and isn't that what it's all about anyway?
