Me and My Shadow

Today we explored the river between the nature reserve and the centre of a nearby town where we were "buzzed" by hundreds of damsel flies.  Of course they wouldn't be photographed in flight so I'm afraid we "settled" for this still shot of one on the towpath along the riverside.
It has been a beautiful day.  We spent the morning battling the bindweed in the garden and the afternoon strolling along the riverbank but we were rather disappointed  in the lack of wildlife along the river.
