it's amazing who you stumble across in shrewsbury!

we were promised a river festival including raft building and raft races. sadly, most of the rafts sank which didn't make for great raft racing.

however, there were interesting folks aplenty: people who like to dress up and pretend to fight, people enticing us to try their yummy food until we felt like we had to buy some (not a major problem) and a musician who was basically harry styles trying to be jamie cullum. 

plenty of sunbathing and people watching with the three amigos so it all turned out well in the end.
