This image is straight out of the camera - no post processing. The color is just amazing!
And there are more still in bud, so perhaps I will get a shot of the lot of them open together.
These flowers are brought to you by a conscientious home owner. Last year we noticed a single specimen of this beauty had sprung up dangerously close to the road we walk on every morning. Then we noticed someone had put a bag over the spent bloom to preserve the seeds. And now we see they were apparently planted in a safer place in the same general area.
I'm grateful to be able to enjoy the fruits of someone else's forethought and labor!
