Open Garden

We had a very busy and enjoyable day. Starting with the Farmers' Market and then Coffee and Cake in the Parish Church. Home for lunch and then the garden was open to visitors from 1 to 5 pm.

We think we had over 250 visitors during the afternoon and, as you might guess from this photograph, it was very cold and windy. The visitors arrived in a constant stream during the afternoon and we didn't have a chance to go indoors and get warm once.

It must have been a successful day for the hospice and I'm sure they will have raised a lot of money. Some gardeners were selling plants and/or refreshments too in aid of the hospice. Plants were donated by some of the local nurseries/garden centres.
