5K in 60mins!

a record surely, for an unfit, gimpy-knee'd couch potato!!  We had beautiful weather for the RBC Race for Kids for Great Ormond Street Hospital.  Over 6,000 competitors, 1,500 of them staff and family from the bank, shown here with LEO the Lion, the bank's mascot - he deserves a prize and a long cold drink!  It was actually enjoyable, strolling along at the back, cheering on my fellow employees as they raced to the finish, and I'm so delighted that my dear friends sponsored me £260!!  I should have deducted a minute or two, as I stopped to take pictures of a massive temple and a lively brass band, set up at the perfect point to encourage us along - see the extra pics.

Now, it's exciting tennis and the Montreal Grand Prix!
