A hot day

One of the triumphs of our shopping trip on Tuesday was finding some citric acid. Now al we needed to make this year's elderflower cordial was the elderflower.
Mistakenly we set off having gardened early in the morning and stepped into a cauldron, an uphill one at that. this image is half way to our nearest flowering Elderflower tree. Tricia managed to stay fairly cool but I didn't. We did find some elderflowers and managed to escape back into the shade before permanent damage was done.
Even the locals were complaining about the temperature....
