Early summer (or late spring) treat

Due to all the rain and cool weather we had in May, one of our neighbors had a bumper crop of rhubarb. She was only too happy to share it with us, and we were happy to get it. So, I spent most of the afternoon making not one, but two strawberry rhubarb pies. Strawberry rhubarb pie is our favorite. (Along with apple, cherry...) My wife's grandmother used to make them every year in early June and hers were always magnificent. Now it's my turn to make them.
