So ugly they're beautiful..

Some very warty pumpkins... ...they were being hidden at the very back end of the patch because of their "less than perfect" complexion. The owner of the patch apologetically explained that they were afflicted by a virus.

I thought they were beautiful...

Also started wondering about the warts and the virus, so I looked it up..these are Knuckle Head pumpkins, grown on purpose for their fabulous ghoulish skin. I'm guessing the owner of the patch just says that to make people feel sorry for the poor pumpkins, perhaps resulting in more sales?
