Horsing Around

I met my girls in London today - they caught the train in Warrington at 8.30am and were in Euston for 10.15am.  We took the underground to Victoria and walked to St James Park as it was a lovely day and we thought it would be a nice relaxing day with plenty of things to amuse Scarlett.

Everywhere was really busy though, and when we got to near Buckingham Palace, all the roads were blocked off, there were crowds of people and lots of police. I asked if something was happening and was told that it was the rehearsal for the Queen's birthday parade next week!

Finally we got through the crowds and must have been the only people not there to see the festivities.  We went into the park and Scarlett played on the swings and in the sand pit, and then we headed to Pizza Express for lunch.

Then this afternoon we went to see the Horse Guards.  Scarlett wanted to see the horses, but as you can probably tell by her face, she wasn't too keen at being so close!

It's been a really lovely day, but the time went far too quickly!  At least we're able to meet up like this though, if we were still in Belgium I wouldn't be able to.

I've put a few extra pics in my extras if you want to have a look :-)
