Meet Emma & Dan

....our pals who moved to Dorset/Somerset 2 years ago and are now just a tad too far away to see for a weekend, but we're mighty glad to spend a weekend with them this holiday. They have a beautiful thatch cottage and are living the dream. Dan's a gardener, Emma packed in teaching to host days at River Cottage and another eco/teaching centre in these parts. They rent a piece of land with chickens, pigs and room for more and live the good life.

I love that with good friends you just pick up where you left years ago. Ben's a bit in love with them both and we're having fun.

Beach time this morning, then a belly busting BBQ of home reared animals and home made goods.
