Wedding Bouquet

I always wondered what these are, then today I saw tiny buds emerging. It reminds me of a miniature wedding bouquet. This is what it looks like with the flowers open. I still don't know what they are but I now know that it flowers.
We had more bad news today with BIL being admitted to hospital with septicaemia. He is in a critical condition but responding to antibiotics. We are holding our thumbs tightly again.
