The Marco Polo sets sail for the Baltic...

...with Sue & Richard on board. It was blowing a hoolie, and the ship had to be held back by a tug on its way down the Tyne from its berth. We dropped them off at the port, then went to the riverside to wave them off - this was taken from a viewpoint near Admiral Collingwood. I had another go with the telephoto lens, but the wind made it almost impossible to keep it still - it was bad enough trying to hold my compact camera - but a few shots were reasonably unfuzzy, and this one best told the story of the day!
