Summer has arrived

And nature is burgeoning including everything in the garden - and that means the lawn too!  This border is now at its prime and is pretty colourless after the rock roses and perennial geraniums are over so I am slowly replacing them with other later flowering plants.

The  calf we injected is now running around with the others and their mothers.

The gypsies broke into another farm last night and we heard a car drive down towards our yard late, but it turned around as we have stepped up the security since our last theft.

There was a very large spider running across the carpet towards me last night.  I put my foot down to try and frighten it into a change of direction but it didn't work! N very calmly picked it up and threw it out of the window!!
