So you think you can fly do you

Okay, so Monsieur Hamilton went zip, zip, whoooaaaa Nellie!!! Yesterday, (made me laugh, doubt if She did)

Icarus, Son of Daedalus, who dared to fly too near the sun on wings of feathers and wax. Daedalus had been imprisoned by King Minos of Crete within the walls of his own invention, the Labyrinth.

But the great craftsman's genius would not suffer captivity.

Daedalus made two pairs of wings by adhering feathers to a wooden frame with wax. Giving one pair to his son, Icarus, he cautioned him that flying too near the sun would cause the wax to melt.

But Icarus became ecstatic with the ability to fly and forgot his father's warning. Nearing the warmth of the sun, the feathers came loose and Icarus plunged to his death in the sea.

I know what you're thinking: "wha???????" (Question from pub quiz last night)

Moving on

She was at "wit's end" last evening, having been serenaded at "Le Montréalais" by a cadre of Mariachi singers (in French) and having the entirety of the room wondering:

"who the hell is She?"

The response: "just a woman from England celebrating her 21st wedding anniversary"
