Chilton Chine Beach

I spent an hour today, walking along Brook Bay and doing a bit of beach combing, I found a few fossils, well I think they are fossils, I'm not an expert, but the stone look interesting anyway. I have never visited this beach before, in the 19 years that I have lived here, it is hidden away, and there were only 4 other people there. The cliffs and the seaweed is a lovely red, almost pink colour, and it has made the sea red here too. The extra blips are of an internist rock I saw (to heavy to take home), and Daisy on our way back to the car,  telling me to hurry up, and that the stairs are not that steep! She wasn't carrying lots of stones in her rucksack ;)....'A chine is a steep-sided river valley where the river flows to the sea through, typically, soft eroding coastal cliffs of sandstone or clays. The word chine originates from the Saxon "Cinan" meaning a gap or yawn'.
