A grand day out

A CIPD networking event  in the grounds of Mirehouse on Bassenthwaite was the order of the day.  

A lovely drive early on up through the Lakes which were sparkling and looking gorgeous.  Not too much traffic about which was good too.

A good morning - we watched a cookery demonstration with a spanish theme and then were able to take part helping create dishes for our lunch.  Lovely.  Our hosts for the morning are pictured below.

From here I drove north to recce a few suitable photo locations for us to use on a short holiday here in a few weeks.  I also looked out for nice places to visit and came across the Lakes Distillery which looks like it might be worth a stop.

By the time I got around to thinking about blipping it was raining.  I parked at Kettlewell on Derwentwater, nipped out of the car and grabbed this.
