Breakfast on the boardwalk

The weather looked very gloomy today and I wasn't sure heading to the beach was the best idea but sometimes you drive a little further east or west and the weather changes so we went for it.
We dropped Nadia off a preschool and drove down the parkway.  We arrived in Avon by the Sea and the sky looked a little brighter.  We got a great parking spot right next to the boardwalk and went to our favorite beach eatery, The Avon Pavilion. 
The photo I took was the table directly across from us.  They had the wind protection down because it was cool out but normally that is all open air and the view if fabulous.  It's a great place to people watch during the summer. 
After a delicious breakfast, we took a walk to the end of the boardwalk and back.  I stopped in the little boutique next door to the restaurant and bought a couple of summery tops.  It was definitely worth the ride and the sun came out just as we were leaving.
