Haircut
The palm trees in the complex at which we are staying got a haircut today. Unlike Mexico where a few trees get trimmed at a time by a single worker, this was an all out assault on the many palms of the complex. Ladders, man-lifts, chainsaws, and industrial sized chippers were all in use throughout the day by a least half a dozen workers. They quickly reduced a full, bushy palm (like the one behind the worker here) into a top-knotted shell of its former self (like the tree on the right). Done in a day, including clean up.
