Words of resistance
I had a lazy and ineffective day today. But I did manage to get out of the house to go to an evening of conferences organized by people from my department. Words and images from resistance is a thing started 2 or 3 months ago. A sort of "school on strike": professors, students, critics, documentarists, reading old texts and movies through the strike. It was inspiring!
This is a photo taken during a manifestation: when people started to go outside to bang on pots and pans, some said it was just too loud and disturbed kids sleeping. The banner plays on that, and says "Sorry for the noise, but we have children", which I think is a good way to reposition the debate from the individual to the society issue.
I'd like to apologize for the many lazy iPhone pictures. I've been in a photo-funk lately, mainly because my life is... Well unsatisfying. Post-New York, staying home and trying to find a job is not exactly exciting. I promise to do better. At some point.
