Akbuk

A long day, including ferocious thunder and lightning storm when the heavens opened, and drenched everything in seconds, rivers where there are usually paths - it was amazing.  But here I am finally in my haven home for the weekend. Have brought friends Barry and Jonann.  This is the only photo I took today that I can upload - so flowers for Friday being the sanctuary of my delightful bedroom here in Akbuk.   Taken and uploaded from my iPad as I decided not to bring my laptop for the weekend.

Later: (Sunday night) adding some extra photos now that I am in Istanbul and have my computer.  Firstly, one of my lovelies surprised me today in class with a chocolate cake for us all to celebrate the end of the year (almost) together.  Delicious and sweet, and so was the cake.  Then a pic of yesterday's babies, taken by standing on a chair and sticking my head and camera out of the skylight in which they were most interested.  I couldn't resist their fluffiness.  So sweet.
