MINI CONKERS

I wonder if they'll hang on this year? Usually 90% of them fall off before they achieve this size - could be a bumper crop!

Day of contrasts - temperature soared - 32°C in the shade in my garden. I had put the chillis out & by 4 pm they were succumbing to heatstroke...

By 6 pm the sky had gone black- Radio 4 Longwave was sounding like a vicious fry-up & half an hour later it was bucketing down & the old fella upstairs was chucking giant steel cupboards around & putting on a wicked light show!

It's 10:30 now & the storm's still grumbling away :o)
