American Bald Eagle

Dropped by National Zoo this morning with A.  Good morning for a walk around, cool and not too busy.

Nice shot of the American eagle who was extremely cooperative.  What a handsome fellow he is.  His name is Tioga and he is 17 years old. He was found abandoned as a nestling in Pennsylvania and released only to be found a week later unable to fly. A fracture in his left shoulder left him permanently flightless.
