Appleby Horse Fair

Hundreds of horses, ponies, gypsies, travellers, and the general public descend on Appleby in Westmorland during the first weekend in June.

It is a spectacular sight to see the horses being washed in the river Eden!

We went by train this time, so we avoided the usual parking problems!

Chloe didn't get a swim in the river with all those horses charging around! But we all enjoyed our day out!
