What a life
And what a legacy she leaves behind.
This is Primrose du Plessis, who, after retiring from a life as a Social Worker, working with people with disabilities, became a leading member of the board of APD.
She finally retired from those responsibilities in 2011 when she no longer felt comfortable driving.
She made a brilliant speech at our 2013 AGM when we launched a benevolent fund in her honour,. She questioned what she had done to be recognised in such away!
She passed away yesterday at the grand age of 102, with 80 years of service to people with disabilities.
A very special lady.
