Coming Up the Hill
17.1C and fairly dull with a few bright spells early afternoon, then heavy dark clouds and one or two light showers for a while. Light breeze.
Maeve the deerhound wanted to be out in the back garden again this morning but I thought it might rain so I brought her in after a while.
Maeve and I went for our walk after lunch. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. As we walked down the track two ladies on horseback were coming up the hill. We came back along the cycle path and went down to the beach at Westhaven via the level crossing.
Down on the beach the tide was further out than yesterday. Maeve made no move to go paddling today. Valhalla A was moored in the shallows and the smaller boat was beached.
We came up off the beach at the car park at Westhaven then came back over the road bridge over the railway line where we met the ladies on their horses again. We came back up the main road and round to home. It was very warm when we were walking up the main road.
