Dolly Meets The New Neighbours

We had a bit of a late start to our holiday as I've had a bit of drama with the new kitchen that is going in in July.  Wickes has had to reassign the fitter for the second time (they fired the last one) and I needed to have the new guy come do the survey (again!) before I left.  I think (hope) it's a good change, but one thing I was hoping to do he says he will not/cannot do, so I am quite disappointed and wondering if I should spend the money to get someone else to do it.  He says it would be VERY expensive!  (That's one reasons they fired the previous guy - he made too many empty promises).

Anyway - off we finally went.  The campsite is great and very helpful which is good because I DID need help with pitching my tent.  The man in the camping store said "Of COURSE you'll be able to set it up on your own, no problem!!"  During all the drama of getting the tent up, Dolly just stayed in her little bed inside the car, watching me: "You're on your own, mum!"  (see extra photo)

It didn't help that I was trying to put it up in the hottest part of what was really a very warm day!  Once it was finally up I just collapsed in the tiny bit of shade that I could find, enjoying the view.  After a simple dinner, Dolly and I went for a walk around the site, which included a small lake, lots of ducks and geese, and 5 pigs - 3 adults and 2 babies.  They seemed as interested in Dolly as she was of them!

Camping is great - but my viral thing I came down with a couple of days ago sure got worse this evening!  I'm not sure that I like the idea of camping when I feel like this, but hopefully I won't get any worse and the relaxation will do me good.
