Diary of an Edinburgher

Rio!

A meeting with the dog borrowers from the other night was arranged for this afternoon in the Links. Mum was picking up the wee girl, A, from school first, so we hung about in the most obvious part of the Links where they would approach from. We were to proceed to their house and see the set up there, for possible - nay, probable - Archie overnight visits.

While we waited, Archie had a splendid time playing with a tiny Chihuahua cross. It was just a puppy, but he was so good with it, I think we can safely dismiss those bad memories of him once being aggressive with a puppy. He's been perfectly behaved since that slip up. He was so sweet - rolling around, legs in the air, beard flying, and little Rio was all over him.

The afternoon meeting meant that I was missing the first tennis semi final, but I knew I'd be back home in time for Murray's late afternoon game.

Anyway, we waited till 1:30. I didn't have my phone, and so I assumed something had happened and they had texted to cancel. So Archie and I came home, and JR went shopping.

But no text message was awaiting me. A bit of a mixup, but apparently they were there at the appointed time and looked all over the Links and couldn't find us. (We all) should have gone to Spec Savers!

We'll arrange another meeting at the weekend. And I'll bring my phone. And we'll pinpoint the place.

But the good news is - I can now watch ALL of the tennis ALL afternoon.
