Scarlet

Late afternoon and evening I met up with MrJohn and we went to see  snapshotsam'sphoto's in an exhibition( all three pictured here Sam looking all Debbie Harry, one of her pictures looking all moulin rouge and Mrjohn - well looking). Sam is finishing her second year photography degree and the class of 2014 were opening their show.
 
15 students presenting quite different styles of work. Sams documentary collection of the drags queens in a local club was both beautiful and compelling, it had layers too drawing the viewer into this part of the girls lives. One of the other collections that I really liked was Scarlets(whose hair and photo are blipped) - a vegan with strong political motivation for this choice she articulated some of that political engery and argument in her pictures.
