Trash Racks - World Environment Day

Today is World Environment Day and it is celebrated every year on June 5th. It is to help raise global awareness to take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet Earth.

These trash racks at the Urrbrae Wetlands in Adelaide show perfectly the amount of rubbish that washes down into a very small catchment area. This represents about 1 week of trash. The local council cleans this rubbish out on a weekly basis.
