Raging Torrent

This morning there was a torrential shower, which lasted quite a while, then it stopped and the sun came out, the atmosphere was quite tropical! The small river that flows through Schull became a raging torrent and seemed to be carrying a substantial amount of topsoil from round about! The water in the harbour turned from blue to murky brown. The tide too was the lowest I'd ever seen it, I enjoyed a paddle and was glad to take in a bit of seaside as I'm heading away for a few days! This seems to take a bit of organising both on the home and shop front. I drove to Kinsale after work to collect both my girls, Rosie will farm sit and Rachel will cover some of the days I'm away in the shop. How wonderful it is that they can do this as it's enabling me to have some freedom to enjoy some little adventures!!
