Number 6, Gunner Lindley

Today was my first ever trip to the races, It was very exciting and good fun. D and his colleague get to go a few times each year and at long last wife's were invited too! Along with the excitement of the races we had the honour of choosing the best turned out horse in two of the races. It seemed a little unfair to leave the decision to four people who had little knowledge of horses but after taking some expert advise we decided on this gorgeous chestnut gelding, shiny hooves, nice stencilling and mane and tail carefully plaited. His groom was lovely too and she seemed really chuffed with her prize, Gunner Lindley unfortunately didn't win his race. A small, inspired bet on the last race by D meant that we even made a small profit on the day. An excellent day out!
