Today's the day

.... Well the legal day at any rate.  This is my lovely niece and her minutes old  husband attempting to sign the register after today's proceedings.   Not ones for tradition, they jumped into a lake in Cumbria to mark their engagement and so 'Wed-Fest 2015'  happens in a  field at the weekend. There will be hay bales and beards and tepees and jugglers and geese (I may be guessing about the geese... ) sadly I'll be here in Japan whilst all the shenanigans take place in Yorkshire (UK) but it is guaranteed to be a splendid day.

Top Tunes for June a song that reminds you of one or both of your parents.  This was one of my Dad's favourites and was his regular  'humming' and 'tapping' tune whilst working on the car or in the garden.  It was played at his funeral. 

It seems appropriate somehow that they got married on what would have been her grandad's 89th birthday.
