Vilnius (Day 7)

Going home this evening. Very glad I came.

I thought my last Vilnius Blip (meantime) should be another of the best city scenes - Katedros aikštė. Cathedral Square.

The statue is of Gedminas - one of the early Lithuanian rulers. He looks up Gediminas prospekt - the city's main street and named after him.

The statue is modern - from 1996 I think. It is made of bronze confiscated by border police/customs and donated for the project.

Right, better finish the packing.
