Rose gone wild
This is a rose I noticed just coming into flower, in the shrubs planted outside my flat, by the local council.
It was not planted by the council, but is a remnant from the garden of a pensioner, who used to reside at the care home that stood opposite my front door.
I can remember the little piece of garden outside her room that used to be a riot of colour through the summer months, of course this is now gone forever.
The home was demolished late last year and now stands as a plot of green space, until it's future is decided
I never knew the lady's name and haven't a clue as to her current whereabouts but this self seeded plant brings back wonderful memories.
