Durham

Today we had the day off so started the day with a swim then drove to Durham. We visited the beautiful Crook Hall and gardens, which has stunning walled gardens filled with flowers with a view of Durham Cathedral. We had fun exploring the maze and the gardens then had a delicious cream tea sat outside in the sun. Afterwards we went for a riverside walk in the sun and I took this photo of the river and cathedral above. We walked for several hours around the cathedral and town before heading home.
This evening our friends collected us and we went to the cinema at the metrocentre. The boys were keen to watch the new Mad Max movie which had hardly any dialogue , just car chases and explosions....not really my cup of tea but it was okay.
