Swan and Cygnets

Someone recently very kindly shared the news that there were cygnets not too far from my home. Today was the first day that I was free, and the weather was suitable for me to pop on over. They've grown somewhat from the little fluff balls in the photograph my friend shared, but are still quite small and fluffy. They are big enough now, though, at 5 weeks old, to be safe from attack from the local birds of prey - a big relief for their parents I'm sure. This group are a little unusual in that there are seven cygnets, and they have all made it through their most precarious first weeks. Clearly their parents picked the right spot to raise them!
