Underground shopping

Stopped off at Coober Pedy on our travells which is an Opal mining town where many of the homes and other establishments are underground to avoid the severe heat of summer. Coober Pedy is over 500 Kms inland and what we would say in Australia in the middle of "nowhere".
This photo is of an Opal souvenir shop converted from a disused mine underground.
Some of the Opals were well over $1000.00 so we only looked.
