I had almost forgotten that I was meeting the lovely goddaughter at the V&A for the Savage Beauty exhibition. I've spread myself a bit thin these past weeks and the stress of the kids exams has gotten to me. Poor old Spence has come down with the flu on the eve of his first A Level. He is furious and inconsolable. I am not really sure what to say to him. 

I am mesmerised by my wonderful goddaughter. She manages to be so centered and mature while still maintaining a joyful sense of innocence. I feel so flattered that she seeks me out the way she does.
