Coats of many colours
Tuesday started out wet. Thankfully, not as wet as Monday, but with a fair amount of drizzle nonetheless.
Our walk with Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers was as varied as one can get locally - from Cumbernauld Village, through the historic Glen and then through the less-than-historic and less-than-attractive Wardpark North Industrial Estate and onto the Antonine Wall at Tollpark, before skirting the airport and emerging near the Westerwood Golf course for our walk back into the Village.
The rain wasn't a big deal - in fact it even threatened to turn sunny for part of our walk - but some of the underfoot conditions were very wet indeed, puddles and pools of water where a grassy path ought to have been. But we're Ramblers, so what's a squelchy morass of water.when one gets to walk along a wall built by the Romans in the mid-Second Century?
The photo shows some of the group - we had become a little spread out by this point - walking the Tollpark section of the Antonine Wall, one of the best-preserved sections of the Wall and well worth a visit. Just remember your wellies!
